Lisa is available to teach on a variety of topics for short events and entire weekend retreats. While many speakers choose to publish a list of topics, Lisa prefers to work with you and proceed as the Holy Spirit leads for your specific event. Fees are dependent on location and length of event. Critique

First Order

For the client’s first order, Lisa accepts three pages submitted by email as a Microsoft Word document attachment. This option is a critique level service. For deeper editing, please review the editing section below.

  • Lines must be double-spaced
  • Use Times New Roman twelve point font
  • Format with one inch margins
  • Paragraph layout of first line indent and no extra lines after paragraphs
  • Cost: $5.00 per page, payable before work begins

Lisa uses the track changes feature in Microsoft Word and adds comments to provide explanations, suggestions and questions. You must then accept or reject changes and decide which suggestions work and which questions exploring will strengthen your writing.

The in-depth critique provides tools to enhance your entire manuscript and future work.

Subsequent Orders

Should you desire additional critique, subsequent orders follow this pricing schedule:

  • $5.00 per page, ten page minimum
  • When the total cost is less than or equal to $250, payment in full is due before work begins
  • If the total cost is greater than $250, payment agreements may be negotiated with a minimum of $250 paid in advance of work commencement

Editing

Prior to accepting a book for editing, please contact Lisa using the form option below. She will then contact you for a phone or personal complimentary consultation to determine your needs and how well the two of you fit for an editing relationship.

All editing submissions should be submitted by email as a Microsoft Word document attachment.

  • Cost starts at $5.00 per page, dependent on writing level and type of editing required
  • Payment terms typically include half paid up front with the remainder due when editing is completed

Comments, questions and suggestions serve to not only improve the submitted work, but also help to improve your overall writing.

Ghostwriting

Many variables determine ghostwriting rates. The amount of effort you give decreases the total cost. Lisa provides a free initial consultation with a project cost breakdown and estimation.

  • Submit an overview of the project by email.
  • Include attachments of any materials or research you have collected.
  • An initial payment is due before work begins.

Following the initial consultation, conducted in person or via Skype or Google Video Chat, Lisa provides a breakdown of project costs along with options for hourly or total project cost and the recommended payment schedule. She completes all work under a mutually agreed contract, which allows either party to delay or discontinue the project during any phase.

Completed manuscripts do not include special formatting. However, for an additional fee, Lisa will format the manuscript for self-publishing options according to guidelines provided.

Private Consultations

Are you looking for individualized help with your writing project? Schedule a private consultation to work through issues. Brainstorm plots, develop characters, receive help in knowing where to start, or any other area of writing you want to discuss.

Pricing schedule:

  • $50 per hour, one hour minimum
  • Local consultations may be conducted in person (Fort Worth or mid-cities)
  • Non-local consultations require Skype or Google Video Chat, or billing of additional fees for travel expenses
  • Submit any documents for discussion 24 hours in advance of the consultation
Teaching for Writing Events

Lisa is available to teach classes for your writing events. Rates are negotiable depending on time and depth of teaching required.

  • Submit a request for a class subject proposal
    • If you do not have a specific topic, she will send a proposal for classes she has already developed
  • Include event type, date, and location
